At the Age of 77, Si Robertson Has FINALLY Spoken the Truth We’ve All Suspected for So Long

‘Duck Dynasty’ Revival: What Really Happened to Uncle Si Robertson? The Untold Truth Behind His Hunting Mishap and Health Update

With Duck Dynasty: The Revival making its much-anticipated comeback, fans are buzzing with questions—especially about one beloved bearded figure: Uncle Si Robertson. While the reboot shifts its spotlight to Willie, Korie, and their kids, it’s Uncle Si who’s stealing the curiosity of longtime viewers.

After the heartbreaking passing of Phil Robertson in May, many began wondering how his younger brother, Si, is doing these days. His wild tales and eccentric humor made him a fan favorite during the original Duck Dynasty run from 2012 to 2017. So, what’s he been up to?

SHOCKING MOMENT IN THE WOODS

Believe it or not, Uncle Si is still very much the same quirky, story-spinning character we remember—but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t faced some bumps along the way. Back in January, Si was on a hunting trip when things took an unexpected turn. As usual, in a rush and full of energy, he attempted a big leap from a boat before the decoys and shotguns were cleared. The result? A nasty fall—right on top of his oxygen machine.

“He didn’t even wait,” recalled Justin Martin on the Duck Call Room podcast. “Typical Si. Always in a rush. And then boom—he’s in the mud.” Si, being Si, bounced up as if nothing happened, hoping no one noticed. But with mud covering him head to toe, the secret was out.

What alarmed his buddies more was his behavior afterward. Normally loud and full of stories, Si grew quiet. “He was just sitting there in the cold—completely out of character,” Martin said. “That’s when I thought, ‘Uh-oh, something’s wrong.’”

By the next day, it was clear something was wrong. Si’s oxygen levels plummeted, and he was rushed to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with a “mini panic attack” that had triggered the episode. He spent three days under care, recovering with meds and rest before heading back home.

LINGERING HEALTH CONCERNS

Fans were left worried again in May 2024, when Si posted a video hooked up to an oxygen machine—but he didn’t go into detail. The speculation was swift. Was it something new? Something worse?

As it turns out, his oxygen use likely ties back to a difficult period in 2022. That year, Si underwent lung surgery after struggling with respiratory issues linked to a lifetime of smoking, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and complications from COVID-19. “The doc says surgery went great,” he posted after the procedure. “I’m ready to get back at it, Jack!”

YES—UNCLE SI IS BACK ON SCREEN!

Despite the health scares, fans won’t have to imagine a Duck Dynasty revival without Si. He’s back—and more than ready. “He didn’t need any convincing,” Korie Robertson revealed on her podcast. “I think he’s been ready since the moment we wrapped the last season!”

While some family members hesitated about the return to TV life, Uncle Si jumped right in. “It’s a blast getting to film with him again,” Korie added. “He keeps us all laughing.”

Though life has brought its fair share of challenges, Si Robertson remains a bright light in the Duck Commander world—resilient, hilarious, and still a master storyteller. And now, with Duck Dynasty: The Revival, fans get to witness the next chapter of the legend himself…
