Robertson Family Members Share Updates On Miss Kay’s Health Following Death Of Her Husband, Phil
Missy Robertson and her family recently visited her mother-in-law, Miss Kay, and they were overjoyed to see how well she’s been doing lately.
Over the past few months, the Robertsons have kept fans updated as both Miss Kay and her husband Phil suffered a series of health problems. Phil was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and a blood disorder, and also underwent multiple back surgeries.
Miss Kay suffered a serious fall that resulted in a gruesome injury and infection. Missy’s husband, Jase, said the injury was so bad, he “thought it was life-threatening.”
Kay recovered from her fall, but continued to struggle with her health. Then, Phil passed away on May 25, which didn’t help her condition.
Phil and Kay’s son, Willie, spoke to USA Today after his dad died. He said his mom “is not in the best of health,” adding, “Some of it is she is just depressed. She lost her partner of 60 years.”
The Robertsons have shared some hopeful updates on Miss Kay in the last few weeks. Her daughter-in-law, Lisa, celebrated when Kay was able to attend a recent Sunday church service.
Willie’s wife, Korie, also shared some good news about Miss Kay. She said:
“Physically, she’s doing better and she is walking through this with grace, assurance, and leaning on her faith and family. We love her so much!”
Kay Is Doing Well And Receiving Lots Of Love From Family And Friends
Miss Kay is currently staying with Phil’s nephew, Jay Stone, and his wife, Anna. Jay recently appeared on the Duck Call Room podcast and shared that Kay is “doing good.”
“She’s surrounded by her family. There’s people in and out. She’s doing good. She’s eating good.”
Kay’s daughter-in-law, Missy, echoed these comments in a post she shared on Father’s Day (June 15). She said:
“The highlight [of the day] was enjoying how well Miss Kay is doing. She is surrounded by family and friends every single day. She’s even back to drawing farm animals for the kids. Thank you for praying for her. She’s an amazing lady!”
Missy shared a picture that shows her, Jase, their son Reed, his wife Brighton, and their three children with Kay, who was smiling from ear to ear.
Duck Dynasty fans were relieved to hear that Kay is doing much better. They left lots of sweet comments on Missy’s post, writing:
“Continued prayers over you all and sweet Miss Kay.”
“Precious lady right there. Stay strong, Miss Kay.”
“Miss Kay seems so sweet…she still has a sparkle in her eyes.”
