Watch: Phil Robertson’s Celebration of Life [VIDEO]
Two weeks after the passing of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson, the Robertson family has shared a powerful and emotional video of his private funeral and celebration of life, inviting fans everywhere to honor his memory.
A Legacy Remembered
Phil Robertson, founder of Duck Commander and the bold, faith-filled heart of Duck Dynasty, passed away on May 25 at the age of 79. His death followed a recent battle with Alzheimer’s disease and a rare blood disorder. In the weeks leading up to his passing, the family provided heartfelt updates through their podcasts, Unashamed and Duck Call Room, as they cared for Phil in his final days.
The family held a private funeral on May 29, but due to the overwhelming love and support from fans, they made the decision to release the full video of the service.
“Phil meant so much to not only all of us, but to so many of you,” said son Willie Robertson.
“Because of that, we wanted to share the service with everyone. Thank you for loving our family through this season. We’re grateful, and we know Phil would be too.”
Inside the Celebration of Life
The video, now available to watch online, captures an emotional and uplifting tribute to a man whose life was rooted in faith, family, and purpose.
Highlights from the service include:
-
Each of Phil’s sons—Willie, Al, Jase, and Jep—sharing heartfelt messages about their father’s legacy.
-
A powerful Gospel message from Jase Robertson, encouraging those in attendance to use this moment to reflect on their own spiritual lives.
-
Musical worship, led by Phil’s daughter-in-law Missy and several grandchildren, singing some of Phil’s favorite hymns.
-
Video montages featuring family memories, sweet moments between Phil and Miss Kay, and tributes to his passion for Christ and the outdoors.
“He was ready to meet the Lord,” Jase said during his eulogy.
“How many people are ready? If you’re not, use this moment. Use my dad. Use this to find your way to be thrilled by Jesus.”
A Glimpse of Miss Kay
The video also shows Miss Kay, Phil’s beloved wife of 60 years, attending the funeral—teary-eyed but surrounded by love. Her strength and vulnerability touched many, as she both smiled and wept during the service.
How Is Miss Kay Doing Now?
Since Phil’s passing, Kay has been staying with family, specifically Jay Stone (Phil’s nephew) and his wife Anna.
“Miss Kay is staying with us now,” Jay shared on the Duck Call Room podcast.
“She’s surrounded by her family. People are coming in and out. She’s eating well and doing good.”
Still, the emotional toll has been heavy. In an interview with USA Today, Willie Robertson admitted:
“Kay is not in the best of health… Some of it is just depression. She lost her partner of 60 years.”
His wife, Korie Robertson, also provided an encouraging update, saying that Miss Kay is physically improving and walking through this grief “with grace, assurance, and leaning on her faith and family.”
Watch the Service
The Robertson family invites everyone who loved Phil to watch the celebration of life service. Whether you followed him through Duck Dynasty, admired his strong faith, or simply loved his bold character, the service is a beautiful reminder of the man he was.
“Your messages, stories, and support have meant more than we can put into words,” said Willie.
“We’re grateful—and we know Phil would be too.”
Please continue to keep Miss Kay and the entire Robertson family in your prayers during this season of healing and remembrance.
