‘Duck Dynasty’ Family Shares Mixed News About Miss Kay Following Phil Robertson’s Death
In the weeks since Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson passed away at the age of 79, his wife Miss Kay has been navigating both grief and recovery. While her physical and emotional health took a serious hit, the Robertson family has offered a heartfelt and hopeful update.
An Uplifting Update Amid Grief
Korie Robertson, wife of Willie Robertson, took to Instagram to answer the many questions fans have been asking: How is Miss Kay doing?
“We’ve seen so many of y’all asking about how Miss Kay is doing,” Korie wrote. “It’s so hard to lose her love and companion since she was 14 years old.”
Alongside her message, Korie shared a series of photos, including a touching one of Miss Kay at Phil’s funeral—smiling gently in a wheelchair, surrounded by loved ones.
“Physically, she’s doing better and she is walking through this with grace, assurance, and leaning on her faith and family,” Korie added.“We love her so much! Keep lifting her up in prayer—we feel them, and they mean more than you know.”
The Road to Recovery
Miss Kay, now 77, has faced serious health concerns over the past few months. Earlier this year, she suffered a dangerous fall that resulted in a cut to her leg. The wound became infected and, at one point, left the family fearing the worst.
“We were kinda dealing with the fact that maybe this is it,” said her son Jase Robertson during a family podcast episode.
Thankfully, Kay pulled through, and according to the family, she continues to regain strength. However, the loss of her husband of 60 years has taken a toll.
“She is not in the best of health,” Willie Robertson told USA Today.“Some of it is just depression. She lost her partner of 60 years.”
Surrounded by Love
Since Phil’s passing on May 25, Kay has been living with Jay Stone and his wife Anna, who is Phil and Kay’s granddaughter.
“She’s doing good,” Jay shared on the Duck Call Room podcast. “She’s surrounded by her family. There’s people in and out constantly. So she’s doing well and she’s eating well.”
While Kay made a brief and touching appearance in the first episode of Duck Dynasty: The Revival, which aired June 1, she is not expected to be a regular part of the series going forward due to her health.
Phil Robertson, though absent from the show’s new footage, is remembered through flashbacks and heartfelt tributes.
A Community Still Praying
Fans have poured out love and support across social media, continuing to pray for Miss Kay as she walks through this season of loss and healing.
“Bless her heart—so glad she’s surrounded by family.”“She’s such a strong woman, leaning on her faith.”“Still praying for Miss Kay every single day.”
As the Robertson family moves forward, they remain rooted in the same faith and love that carried them through the highs and lows of their original journey. And for Miss Kay, surrounded by children, grandchildren, and a nation of supporters—the story isn’t over yet.
